They also cause us to remember them. It is so because the impact is at many levels - physical, emotional, social, existential and psychological levels. There is little possibility that we would forget them if the impact is at several of these levels. Some of them are: Emotional hurt, pain, embarrassment, insult, isolation. Forgetting actions, tasks, responsibilities and appointments. Not remembering to appreciate, praise or thank someone. Thrill of doing something dangerous. Joy of doing some things in secret.
